In June 2020, we shared with you several amazing statistics regarding the French career of Sega Game Gear. And we indicated to you that the source of this information, the French author Régis Monterrin, worked on a book entirely devoted to SEGA filled with information of this kind. After more than a year waiting, this book is finally about to leave officially.
Omake Books will indeed market Sega Vol.1 generation, the first volume of a book entirely devoted to the history of Sega (and non-official for more freedom), on 12 August. Fruit of ten Years of research and interviews of ancient firm in the Hedgehog pressed, this 176-page book covers the years 1934 to 1991. And more specifically for the period "standard games" to the first years of the Mega Drive.
The good old times
And unlike other works devoted to Sega's history released over time, Generation Sega Vol.1 has the particularity of being interested in Sega's presence in France. Here too, testimonials of actors of the time deliver unprecedented lighting on the way Sega had "to be stronger than you" in the 90s. For information, the book is cut into four Chapters. These chapters are:
- Chapter 1: The Genesis of Sega (+ selection of electromechanical games);
- Chapter 2: To conquer the world (+ selection of arcade games & selection of Games SG-1000);
- Chapter 3: The launch of the Master System (+ Selection of Master System Games);
- Chapter 4: The Mega Drive Strategy (+ Selection of Mega Drive Games & Game Game Selection).
Generation Sega Vol.1 is sold at a price of 19.90 euros. Collectors can also obtain the Collector's edition of the book sold exclusively on the Omake Books online store at a price of 24.90 euros ( The latter has a jacket, coverage and an exclusive bookmark).
And since it is a question here of a "volume 1," it should be noted that the "volume 2" is already ready and will be released soon, always at Omake Books.
