The shiny, advanced city of Piltover is valid in Valoran as the crucible of art, craft and trade. A cultural center in which the most ingenious inventors and talented craftsmen come together.

But wealth also has its shadow sides and the shadow side of Piltover is called Zhaun, a district located below the city. With the invention of hextech, the balance threatens to tilt between the two cities. Now everyone can use the power of magic regardless of talent.

In the center of the plot of Arcane are the two sisters VI and Jinx, both of which grew up in the slums of Zhaun. In the TV series, their origin story is told, but other champions from Piltovers and Zhaaen are also available. These include, for example, Caitlyn, Jayce and Victor.

The co-maned by Arcane, Alex Yee, says that the series is a story of duality. It shows how the characters are divided between the two parts of the city and how their values change accordingly. Each of them has their own merits, but also mistakes and vices.

You can be in your own story of the hero, but in the story of someone else you are the villain.
