What time begins season 2 of Overwatch 2? Explained

Although Overwatch 2 launched last October, the game is about to start its second season with a new playable hero, a new map, elegant aesthetic elements and more. Here is what time will begin season 2 of Overwatch 2.

Date and launch time of Overwatch 2 season 2

Overwatch 2 season 2 will begin on Tuesday, December 6 at 2 p. m. ET. That's when the new season will be launched whenever there are no technical difficulties that can cause delay. The game had a difficult release when it made the original Overwatch transition to Overwatch 2 last October with DDoS attacks, broken characters and other problems.

Overwatch 2 must be updated with the new season. Console players can update once the season is active, while PC players who have their automatic update configuration from Blizzard Battle.net configured to download pre-launch content will have a much shorter wait.

Season 2 will add the new hero of the tank, Mantra, to his list along with the new Shamble Escort map located in Nepal. There will also be a new battle pass with the theme of the Greek God and other cosmetic masks available in the game store.

The Greek theme will be the basis for the new limited time of Battle for Olympus that will begin on January 1. 6, 2023 to January. 19. Blizzard also confirmed that the Annual Wonderland Hinterland will return during season 2 of December 13 to January 1. 4 followed by the holiday event of the rabbit year since January 1. 17 to Feb. 6.
