Payday 3: Shooter is in full development

Recently, Payday 2-developer Overkill software via Reddit organized a question and answer session with his fans, which should mainly be about the future plans for Payday 2 as well as planned extensions and updates.

However, some interesting information about a possible next offshoot of the bank robber game also came to light. Community Manager Elisabeth revealed directly in the announcement of the thread that Payday 3 is already in full development at the moment.

Although the team was unfortunately not allowed to comment on further details about the shooter, Elizabeth revealed that Payday 3 will most likely rely on Unreal Engine 4 or 5 and that fans can count on the publication next year.
