The hack-and-slash title seems to achieve better performance than the publisher expected.

Darksiders Genesis was an interesting experiment for Airship Syndicate's franchise, where the third-person action-adventure approach has been dropped earlier games and instead has been chosen an isometric hack-and-slash style. However, it was clear one who has paid out. The game was well received on PC and Stadia in December - and this positive reception seems to have led to solid sales for the game.

Lars Wingefors, CEO of the Embracer Group - the parent company of darksiders Genesis Publisher THQ Nordic - said that the game has sold well to start and his continued strong performance even exceeded the expectations of the publisher.

"In my opinion, darksiders Genesis had a solid performance," Wingefors said. "It was well received and continued after the publishing window. So I would say that it exceeded my own expectations. "

Darksiders Genesis has been available for PC and STADIA since December and was introduced only a few days ago for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Here you can read our review to the hack-and-slash title.
