Assassin's Creed Odyssey Update 1.55 Patnotes (1.6.0)

Update 1.55 has arrived for Assassin's Creed Odyssey and here is the complete list of changes and corrections added to this patch. This update adds to the game 60 FPS support and allows players to experience Next-Gen consoles as the Playstation 5 and the Xbox Series X, Assassin's Creed Odyssey with a higher frame rate. Assassin's Creed Valhalla already has this feature, but now 60 FPS also make the way to Greece. Everything is new with Assassin's Creed Odyssey Update 1.55.

• This update adds 60 FPS support by downward compatibility when the game is running on Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5.

On the Xbox weighs this update about 370 MB. PlayStation users need to download a slightly larger patch with 470 MB. As mentioned above, this update doubles the frame rate upper limit to 60 fps when Assassin's Creed Odyssey is played on next-generation hardware. The game was previously locked with 30 fps, even on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla started with the opportunity to play on PS5 and Xbox Series X with 60 fps, but it also came with a quality mode switch, which prioritized the graphical rendering and at the same time maintained an upper limit of 30 fps. Ubisoft, however, has not mentioned such quality mode, which comes with this update to Odyssey, so it looks like an increased frame rate upper limit all it contains. However, it does not make sense to complain about it.
