Assassin's Creed Odyssey gets surprisingly a Next gene
Assassin's Creed Valhalla can already enjoy many advantages of new consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X / S thanks to a cross-gene release. The predecessor, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, but came out two years earlier and is only playable via downward compatibility on the current console generation. It is all the more cooler that Ubisoft is now publishing a patch, which brings an important Next-Gen feature.
Assassin's Creed Odyssey in 60 fps
The new update finally brings 60 fps and is already live. Just start Assassin's Creed Odyssey on the console of your choice and the update should be downloaded automatically. The size keeps some limited limits and is a bit more extensive with the PS5 version than on the Xbox:
- Xbox Series X / S: 370 MB
- PlayStation 5: 470 MB
Once installed, you can enjoy Assassin's Creed Odyssey on the PS5 or Xbox Series X / S with liquid 60 fps. Odyssey is not the first game that receives such a patch. For example, The Last of US Part 2 and Dark Souls 3 have been considered with a 60-FPS update.

Apparently, the patch otherwise does not bring any other changes with it, in the patch notes is only talking about the frame rate boost.

So it goes with Assassin's Creed
The next Assassin's Creed will probably lead the franchise again in another direction. With Assassin's Creed Infinity, Ubisoft has an ambitious project in making different settings and time levels.
When infinity appears but is not fixed yet. Until then, Assassin's Creed Valhalla will continue to support updates, events and extensions. Even after anger of the Druids and the siege of Paris, the Nordic setting is probably not in the end.
You still play Assassin's Creed Odyssey?
