Assassin's Creed Games - Better at the worst of the series

If the Pandemic Covid-19 gave us something, it's time. Of course, there were conflicts, grief, anxiety and pain, but also time. Enough time for your old Zane friend plays and finished almost all Assassin's Creed games. In March 2020, just after the pandemic statement, I decided to come back to the first Assassin's Creed game to win two end-of-party successes. After that, I decided to play the others and I bought all the games and their DLC. Today, I finished 11 of the 13 games of this list, missing the multiplayer successes of Assassin's Creed IV and always playing with Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Assassin's Creed Origins - Bayek + Aya Speaking Last Time & Birth of Assassins Creed The experience of the series has been fun, but not without pain; He had disappointments, but not without good surprises. I will list the best and the worst games of the Assassin's Creed franchise. This list includes all the main series games, as well as some titles that fans may have ignored, but it will not include the Chronicles of Assassin's Creed or mobile games. I will not go into the details of the revision level here, but I will emphasize the elements of each game that highlighted it, for better or for worse. The point of view from which I come from this list is to see To what extent is the gameplay restrictive?, Does this game control the way I wish? And above all, Is this game fun to play? As I said, I also have all the successes in almost all the games, so doing everything that Ubisoft wanted me to do, I'm asking myself is the 'realization' is a rewarding experience? Without further delay, here is the first part of the best at worst list for the Assassin's Creed series.

The first two entries are practically tied for the best Assassin's Creed game. They are very different and have their own distinct feeling, so it is difficult to put them on the other. That being said, Assassin's Creed Origins was my favorite of the series, by a hair. It was the first time in the franchise where Ubisoft really reinvented the Assassin's Creed games. Origins has really become a complete RPG this time, where the previous titles had RPG elements, but did not sufficiently support it to really change the game.

Play Assassin's Creed Origins gave me a freedom that I had not felt from the very first games. It was the first game for a long time not to have optional objectives during the missions. If you wanted to eliminate your target silently and stealthily, you could. If you wanted to rush and eliminate everyone between you and your target, you can do it too, and you will not be penalized.

The fight has also been reworked. The main character Bayek could handle all kinds of weapons like daggers, spears, swords, sticks or arcs; All you feel. Your weapons can also be impregnated with different effects such as poison or fire. Bayek would also go to the upper level, so you could spend skill points to unlock or improve different capabilities for combat or exploration. You know, like a real RPG. The free race and climbing were also more free compared to previous securities. Instead of each building is its own climbing puzzle, you can approach any structure of almost any side and always reach the top as you please.

It's just a few years after the game that players have discovered Ubisoft's internal misconduct about racism and sexism. It turns out that the main character of Assassin's Creed Origin was supposed to be Bayek's Badass woman, Aya, but she was put away. It's a shame, because they can play with Aya, or at least having the choice, would have made the game even better.

MEET AGAIN

Again, this game could also be the best of the series, depending on your personal preferences. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is maybe the best classic games Assassin's Creed. One of the great attractions of this title was hacking; Being able to take the high seas on his own ship, to launch a large-scale ocean war and swing on an enemy ship and warning! He also took the fight from previous games, refined on several titles and improved.

The story of Assassin's Creed IV was strange, I thought. It was the first game not to happen chronologically, which is good. He introduced items that seemed important at the time, but no longer used (I believe?). The main wicked in the series are the Templars, but AC IV also brought wise, who are beings whose consciousness is perpetuated with life alive. One of the antagonists is at the time of Edward Kenway, but also in the present, which was quite interesting, but several games later, wise does not seem apparently important. It was also the first game where your character is not really an assassin, it's just a guy who can climb trees and wearing murderous clothes. It is only late in the game that Edward really embraces the creed, before removing shortly after.

Apart from sailing and ocean fighting introduced into Assassin's Creed III, the gameplay does not really evolve significantly. The good things are always good, but the bad things are always bad (that is, the optional goals and collectibles are a pain for the assassin). Since the main character of the present died in Assassin's Creed III, the time spent out of the animus was quite refreshing compared to the previous games. There were mini hacking games and the current history gave players a new perspective on the Assassin / Templar conflict. You were also a silent and faceless protagonist, which eliminated the element of being a selfish and whirding con named Desmond, which is a big plus.

MEET AGAIN

Assassin's Creed Odyssey has taken the evolutions made in origins and has worked with them. I never thought that I would say that negatively, but this game has too much game. The card is massive, contains a ton of large islands and they are all filled with locations, secondary quests and targets. After that, there are also multi-chapter DLCs. Now, I like a big fleshy game, but Assassin's Creed Odyssey was just too big. If it was a more digestive game, it would be even better than origins.

A great improvement that has been made compared to Assassin's Creed Origins was the fact that you could choose your main character; Kassandra (the choice of cannon) or Alexios. Anyway, your main character becomes the bearer of eagle, while the other becomes the naughty deimos. You do not play either as a assassin. While Bayek and Aya have created the Hidden Oses who would later evolve to become the assassins, Kassandra is somehow a hard to cook at the Grand Fate. In addition, being a Spartan, the player is really a warrior and not an assassin.

I will say that all games are related to the overall history of the first civilization, the ISU, but Assassin's Creed Odyssey, by far, tells the most consistent story to involve them in the series. The DLC Fate of Atlantis takes over the concept of traveling in the afterlife explored in the DLC Assassin's Creed Origins and really puts the bar above. It's just a pity that the basic game must be finished before accessing it because it is so much more fun than the rest of the game.

The fight in Assassin's Creed Odyssey is like the enhanced fight of origins, but with even more depth. The deeper use of adrenaline and active combat skills really makes you feel like an unstoppable Spartan warrior. As the previous entries in the series, Odyssey has a nautical appearance in the gameplay. It is not so thorough that Assassin's Creed IV, but the player's vessel can be improved and customized in a very similar way.

There are very good aspects of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, such as the general story, the fight and the worship of Kosmos, but the problem I had with it was that it was too diluted. Even though I appreciated that, there were just too many other things I had to go through so that it was a tight game experience.
